disasters.

of course something is going to happen something is always gonna happen, do u not want them to fix the bridge. its called being prepared. the bridge being retrofitted to make it safer until the new bridge is up, because the bridge is past its date and they did start the new bridge but its not finished and they are doing everything to make sure the bridge is safe until the new one is finished. if you think about how houses were built back in the early 1900’s and late 1800’s bc thats probably when the houses that collapsed were built and way earlier then that bc people have been living in SF for way longer than that. and you can tell which houses were older then other houses bc if they collapsed then they probably weren’t built around the time that they started using different methods to make buildings stronger.

Devina, we are ready. at least like 50- 75% it might even be higher than that, of everyone. Quakes that have happened is in 1906 and 1989. I think 1906 was 7.8 and th ‘89 quake was 6.9. The one in Hati was 7.0. The reason why 99.9% of their buildings collasped was because, they built them out of bricks and water, and mud. Our buildings in the bay area is built out of concrete bricks, wood and other materials i cant name  but they are durable. And the reason why, not everyone in Hati was ready, they don’t have the money or any resources to worry about that. Hati is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, they have governmental, economical, and environmental problems. They can’t afford earthquake safe buildings and/or renovations. They can barely afford to feed their own people. and let me repeat myself  THEIR BUILDINGS ARE MADE OF ROCKS, WATER AND MUD.

i honestly think something going to happen in the bay area… something big. i was JUST saying how i think there might be another big earthquake in SF.. and now things are getting weird. the seals leaving… animals do sense things! the small earthquakes… doesn’t that mean something big? the weird weather. and how they keep mentioning how much haiti’s fault line is almost identical to ours.

i remember watching this thing on the history channel or something and how the said we’re due to have a big earthquake any day now. and then another show about a tsunami hitting.

something wrong, i can feel it. and how everybody’s saying that we are prepared… i don’t think we are. at all.

ok. but honestly i think they know something going to happen that’s why their fixing the bay bridge. the lst big earthquake in SF knocked down houses! you know the concrete and wood! and the earthquake that is supposed to hit next is bigger than our old one and the one haiti went through. and maybe your house is safer than mine, but still i don’t feel safe. i have a feeling something bad is going to happen… although that might just be my anxiety from finals and all the school work.
